Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what information olexweb.com handles, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who we are
Olexweb is a business owned and operated by Olaitan Adebayo as a sole proprietor, based in Nigeria. In this policy, "Olexweb", "we" and "us" mean that business. You can reach us at info@olexweb.com.
What we collect
- What you send us. This site has no sign-up. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive what you choose to share: usually your name, number or email address, and your message.
- The project form. If you send your project details through the form, we keep what you write (your name, WhatsApp number or email, and your project details) to reply to you and follow up. A one-way code made from your connection is kept only to stop spam.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when pages load, such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, to keep the site secure and working.
- Preferences on your device. The site remembers whether you turned the anthem off, using storage in your own browser. This is not sent to us.
- Blog reading statistics. When you read an article, we count it without cookies: views, whether most of it was read, likes, saves, shares, the site or app that sent you, and how many people are reading at that moment. We do not store your IP address. To count each reader once a day, your IP address and browser type are turned into a one-way code that changes every day and cannot identify you; these codes are deleted after two days. A separate one-way code records that a browser liked an article, so it can be liked only once. We keep only daily totals.
- Button taps. We count taps on our WhatsApp buttons by page, as daily totals, without cookies or personal data.
- Likes and saves on your device. Articles you like or save are remembered in your own browser, not in an account.
How we use it
To reply to you, to discuss and deliver work you ask for, to keep records of that work, and to keep the site secure. We rely on your consent, on the steps needed to enter or perform a contract with you, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. It passes through the services that make the site and our communication work: our hosting provider, Google Fonts (which delivers the site's typefaces from Google's servers), and WhatsApp or email providers when you contact us. Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria, under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Messages and project records are kept for as long as the work and our legal or tax obligations require, then deleted. Blog reading statistics are kept as daily totals; the daily reader codes are deleted after two days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent you gave earlier. Email info@olexweb.com. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Children
This site is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date.
